A few days ago the USA passed the Waxman-Markey climate change bill, which this recent letter (link below) from 20 leading scientists refers to. Just read the language they are finally able to use, now they don't have to diplomatically water it down to catch the ear of "Dubya" Bush. It starts off "Strong leadership by the United States will be required to move the nations of the world away from what scientists increasingly recognize as a rapidly developing global climatic catastrophe."An open letter to President Obama and Members of Congress
